Nearby temples

Every city has its share of lesser-known temples, hidden in villages or situated alongside roads. They receive hardly any incense offerings, let alone visitors. The most disappointing thing is to find them closed, but fortunately, some are open. There are nuns sweeping, birds chirping, wind chimes tinkling in the breeze, flowers basking in the proud sun, prayer wheels spinning tirelessly, and workers busy with expansion and repairs. In a corner, a small statue of a novice monk recites scriptures amidst the flowers, a leaf falls upon it, undisturbed, whether in folly or in sleep unknown. The fragrance room is locked, whether it's the scent or the light that's locked inside is uncertain. Amidst the tranquility, a nun slowly drives by in an electric cart.
