There are white tigers imported from Germany, koalas imported from Australia, chimpanzees imported from South Africa, and penguins imported from Antarctica. There are also many national protected animals, such as giant pandas, golden monkeys, gibbons, black leaf monkeys, red-crowned cranes, Northeast tigers, red pandas, river deer, Yangtze alligators, etc. Venue features: Giant Panda Pavilion: It was established in 2008 and completed the upgrade and renovation in 2017, with a total area of 3,000 square meters. There are bedrooms, living rooms and outdoor sports fields of different sizes. The third sports field uses the original terrain and vegetation of Dahongshan to create an ecological environment similar to the wild habitat of giant pandas. Meerkat Pavilion: Built in 2012, the area is about 572 square meters. The venue is equipped with a stone-like ecological cage, simulating the original ecological environment of the African desert and sparse grassland, and a viewing tunnel is added to allow tourists to watch animals from a unique perspective. With its rich animal species, beautiful park environment, unique venue design and advanced conservation concepts, Hongshan Forest Zoo attracts many tourists to visit and is one of the more well-known zoos in China.
