Academic Mark: Kaoting Academy, Zhu Xi's late education practice.

[Cangzhou Jingshe], also known as Kaoting Academy, is the place where Zhu Xi, a famous thinker, philosopher, and educator in the Southern Song Dynasty, lived and lectured in his later years. It is located 3 kilometers southwest of the urban area of Jianyang District, Nanping City, Fujian Province. The environment is quiet, surrounded by water on three sides, and backed by green mountains. Zhu Xi established the "Bamboo Forest Jingshe" here, which was later renamed "Cangzhou Jingshe", and was ordered by Song Lizong to be a college in 1244, and the book "Kaoting Academy" plaque was used to commend Zhu Xi's contribution. Zhu Xi taught and lectured at Kaoting Academy for eight years, during which he completed a series of important works such as "Mencius Essentials", "Yili Jingjie", "Chu Ci Collection", "Four Books and Chapters Collection", and formed the "Kaoting School" with Zhu Xi's theory as the core. Kaoting Academy is not only the academic research and education center of Zhu Xi in his later years, but also regarded as the "source of Fujian studies and the top of philosophy", and occupies an important position in the history of Chinese education. Today, Kaoting Academy has become a "que" for Zhu Zi's descendants and pilgrims at home and abroad to trace Zhu Zi's footsteps, and is an important place for studying Zhu Zi culture. The stone archway of the academy was built in the tenth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1531), and was rebuilt according to the format of Kaoting Academy at that time. The archway plaque "Kaoting Academy" was passed down as the imperial pen of Song Lizong. In 1998, the Jianyang Municipal Government built the Zhu Ziwen Gongci on the top of Kaoting Yuzhen Mountain to commemorate Zhu Xi. Kaoting Academy is not only an academic research center, but also a place for the spread of Zhu Zi's philosophy. Its influence extends overseas, especially to the political, economic and cultural development of Southeast Asian countries.
