Whitney Museum of American Art in New York

The Whitney Museum of American Art, commonly known as the Whitney Museum, was established in 1931 by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney and is located in Midtown West, Manhattan, New York City. In addition to the Metropolitan and MOMA, this museum leans towards modernism and is situated near the Chelsea Food Court. From the rooftop, one can also see Little Island, and with the High Line Park nearby, it is well worth the experience.
