It is the source of the Fen River, the mother river of Shanxi, with an altitude of over 2800 meters, making it the second highest mountain in Shanxi after Mount Wutai. It boasts honors such as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and "National Geopark," 🏅 and is listed in the preparatory list of national natural and cultural dual heritage, also being a rare ecological gene bank in the world. It is named for its resemblance to "reed shoots." ⛰ Luya Mountain is the only Buddhist sanctuary of Pilu in China, with the Prince's Hall as the Buddha's top. Centered around Luya Mountain (Prince's Hall main peak), the scenic area includes Malun Grassland, Little Luya Mountain, the Perennial Ice Cave, Millennium Geothermal, as well as cliff plank roads, Tianchi Lake clusters, and Lover's Valley among many other attractions. ⛰ Luya Mountain is a northern primitive high-mountain type landscape tourist area that integrates ten major landscapes including mountains, rocks, forests, grasslands, caves, lakes, springs, valleys, temples, and passes. ?These tourist products are part of a scenic area that combines a national geopark, national forest park, national nature reserve, national water conservancy scenic area, and a Chinese folk culture tourism demonstration area. 💡 The scenic area contains about 820,000 mu of primary secondary forest, 66,000 mu of grassland, over 50 kinds of animal and plant resources, and more than 10 scenic spots.
