Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley)

Formed by the volcanic activity of Mt. Hiyoriyama, this explosion crater has a diameter of approximately 450 meters and an area of about 11 hectares. The valley is dotted with numerous hot spring outlets and steam vents, creating a bubbling, boiling landscape that inspired the name 'Hell where demons reside.'
