Tracking the Jaguar - Ancient Mexican Civilizations Exhibition

Chengdu Museum first floor temporary exhibition hall from June 8 to August 25, 2024, will host the 'Tracking the Jaguar - Ancient Mexican Civilizations Exhibition'. In the splendid scroll of human civilization, ancient Mexico occupies a special position with its unique creativity and profound understanding of the universe. As early as 3200 years ago, ancient Mexico had already nurtured a highly developed agricultural civilization, creating a unique writing and calendar system. From the Olmec to Teotihuacan, from the Maya to the Aztec, these diverse civilizations profoundly influenced the historical process of Mesoamerica. The exhibition brings together 154 cultural relics from nine major Mexican cultural institutions, most of which are making their debut in China, including the most representative stone carvings, murals, pottery, and ritual objects.
