50 foot Statue of Jesus!

To all believers of Jesus Christ, The Divine Mercy Shrine located in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental Philippines may be an addition to your bucketlist. This 50 foot statue stands at the top of a hill overlooking the Mindanao Bay and is known for its miraculous image. We usually visit with my entire family and it is always a wonderful way to bond with one another out of our busy schedules and just be with our faith the entire day. We attend mass and light candles there too. You also have the option to climb up the stairs towards the altar which is placed at the heart of Jesus’ statue. You will just have to attend a quick seminar on what to do and will be advised to leave all your belongings to the baggage counter so you could concentrate to your devotion all the way up. A humbling experience to be there everytime! 🙏 TRIVIA: Every Divine Mercy Sunday (2nd Sunday of Easter), many devotees come to this place to witness the Dancing Sun phenomenon.
