Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (海遊館, Kaiyūkan) is one of Japan's most spectacular aquariums. The aquarium's main attraction is the central tank, representing the Pacifc Ocean, that is nine meters deep and home to a whale shark. You start the tour of the aquarium on the 8th floor and slowly spiral down floor by floor around the central tank. Location: Tempozan Harbor Village of Osaka's bay area Getting there: About a five-minute walk from Osakako Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Chūō Line, and is next to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel Hours Differs on the day. Typically 10:00 to 20:00 (entry until 19:00). There are small number of irregular closing days.
