#traveldiaries The Nam Ou is one of the most important rivers of Laos. It runs 448 km from Phongsaly Province to Luang Prabang Province. The river rises in Muang Ou Nua near the Lao-Chinese border, and traverses the northern Laos mountains and gorges until meeting the Mekong River in Ban Pak Ou of Laos 🇱🇦. You can swim on the Nam Ou either take a refreshing bath or follow the river current with your life jacket. It is up to you! But I think the water is not clear enough to make a good shower. Access to safe water in Laos is a challenge for the majority of the country's population of 7.4 million people.
