Full day tour at the Phayao Lake

Lake Phayao isn’t on the normal tourist trail but it’s well worth a stop. It’s the largest lake in northern Thailand and famously has a sunken temple. Phayao was very different, large empty roads, plenty of restaurants, no tourists. We ran and walked on beautiful bike paths around the lake, enjoyed sunsets and sunrises and wondered why nobody comes here. It was a slice of real Thailand and would make an excellent digital nomad base.
