Phuket hotel recommendations

The mangroves by blue monkey The Blue Monkey Mangrove Hotel is located in the south of Phuket Island, right by the sea. Most of the rooms are villas, which are quite nice. The room facilities are okay (just the air conditioning is a bit loud). Outside the hotel is the mangrove forest, where you can use the hotel's kayaks for free to explore (although it's too hot). The hotel also has a view that other hotels can't match - you can see the Big Buddha of Phuket at sunset without having to deliberately go up the mountain. It's a great feeling to see it from afar!
