Phuket Thai Hua Museum

#songkran2024 Located in the middle of Phuket Old Town. Entrance fees apply (THB200 per adult). Converted from an old school for the Chinese in Phuket, it's now a 2-storey museum showcasing the history of Chinese immigrants that rooted here. The building itself is a unique architecture during its time, incorporating Greek and Roman styles, including the balustrade on Level 2 decorated in Art Deco Style. There are several rooms with images and captions describing how and why the Chinese settled in Phuket, a few of the more prominent figures at that time, the culture, festivals celebrated and the food. I spent about an hour there, was OK to kill some time and hide from the heat, but I don't think it was worth the entrance fees though. The museum also reminded me much of the Han Chin Pet Soo museum in Ipoh.
