A Unique Perspective on Phuket Tourism

Phuket Elephant Sanctuary offers a different view of Phuket tourism. Today, I will take everyone on a conservation-oriented tour with elephants. Here, you can walk and observe the elephants from a bridge without disturbing them. The elephants here are free-roaming. Some of them may be old or have leg problems, so there are hydrotherapy pools for them to soak in. This place is a sanctuary where elephants are unchained, not forced to do anything, and truly free. It is well-known among foreigners but may not be as familiar to Thais. It serves as a final home for these elephants, most of which are disabled due to overwork, illness, or blindness before being rescued. Most of the rescued elephants are females. I really enjoy walking and taking in the views of the forest, mountains, and elephants all at once. The area is very spacious, allowing the elephants to roam freely with caretakers following at a distance. There's also an activity to feed the elephants. After the walk, snacks, fruits, and drinks are prepared for visitors to enjoy as they like.
