Group hangout spots in Old Phuket Town

Here are some excellent group hangout spots in Phuket for you and your friends! The best part is they're all walking distance from one another! 1. Brunch Address - Bonchon, Limelight Avenue Phuket, 2 23 Dibuk Rd, Talat Yai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83000, Thailand Highlight - Ordered their Army Stew with a generous portion of 8 fishcake skewers and veggie with a side of spicy cheese tteokbokki, and a refillable glass of barley tea for under $500 Baht. The serving was more than enough for two! My favourite part about this place was the staff. They were very friendly and attentive, definitely made the experience 10 times better. 2. Dinner Address - Mao Lay, in Chillva Market, Ratsada, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83000, Thailand Avg. Price per Person - 300 Baht Highlight - Above the bustling market, Mao Lay Pub has a nice rooftop terrace that overlooks the lively Chillva market. The service was excellent, the staffs were nice and friendly. We ordered: 1. small steam boat - 10/10 came with pork meat, egg, veggy and mushroom. The broth was so flavourful, it was a perfect dish after exploring the market below. (99 baht) 2. fried calamari - 10/10 it was so crispy and crunchy we had to order another plate. 3. stir fry kalan was amazing. cooked well, crunchy and you can't taste the bitterness. 4. lychee with lime - sweet and refreshing 5. pineapple juice - sour and refreshing to cut down the savouriness of the food. Do check your bill to ensure the prices add up. We had an error where the staff forgot to add the promotional discount for the steamboat! 3. Drinks Address - The Miners Phuket Old Town, 16 Yaowarad Rd, Talat Nuea, เมือง Phuket 83000, Thailand Highlight - Located in Phuket Old Town lies a restaurant by day and a very vibrant live music bar in the evening. The live band, The Jana Brothers, would play song request from pop, oldies and rock, from 8pm-2am. It serves food and reasonably priced drinks. We ordered mojitos which was pretty good. For those who doesn't want any alcohol you can ask for any of their cocktails to be virgin. Highly recommended to bring your friends along and dance to the music. It's a little warm in certain spots so wear light clothes! #grouptravel #foodie
