Dalian Island is located in the northwest of Pingtan, with a total land area of 9.85 square kilometers, a total forest area of 12,700 mu, and a forest coverage rate of 63.5%. Dalian Island has beautiful scenery and pleasant mountains and waters. The island is full of strange rocks and gentle, open beaches. The island has a unique volcanic landform, and volcanic rocks can be seen everywhere at many coastal entrances. Here you can find sea views, windmills, reefs, cliffs, meadows, forests, cattle and sheep, and villages. It's hard to tell if you're in the mountains or on the coast. 📸 Must-visit attractions 1. Yueju Beach: Delicate sand and clear water, perfect for strolling and sunbathing. Great for photos! 2. Yueju Mountain: The natural beauty of Yueju Mountain is a sight to behold, with rocks of all shapes and sizes competing for attention. 3. Dalian Tongtian Gate: Originally a cape extending into the sea, the rocks on both sides of the cape gradually eroded over millions of years, forming this magnificent gate. 4. Yuxian Village: A century-old fishing village by the sea, with many ancient buildings that exude a unique charm. Travel tips: ❶ Dalian Island is divided into a sea-facing side and a non-sea-facing side. The attractions are concentrated on the sea-facing side, while the 6–7 km road on the non-sea-facing side is not very scenic. ❷ Halfway through the trip, after visiting the sea-facing side, you can rest at the convenience store, restroom, and campsite in Yueju Village. ❸ Dalian Island is beautiful in good weather, but also very sunny, with almost no shade.
