Wuxi Ancient Canal Core Section--Nanchang Street

The cities in the south of the Yangtze River, such as Hangzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou, and Wuxi, are all core cities of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou. They were once the land of fish and rice and the transfer stations for sea salt. However, the core section in Wuxi is Nanchang Street, which is located at Qingming Bridge. It is actually a branch of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou. The canal is wide here, and there are several bridges connecting across the waterway. Wuxi's Nanchang Street is the section of the Grand Canal that passes through Wuxi, and it is also the most beautiful section. The core section of the canal also features a very beautiful nightscape.
