The Zhongyan Scenic Area in Meishan, Sichuan offers a light trek through a primeval forest of Alsophila spinulosa

⛰️ A lesser-known spot in Meishan, it features dense bamboo groves, towering ancient trees, primitive Alsophila spinulosa, and ruins of ancient temples. It was once the place where Su Dongpo and his first love, Wang Fu, fell in love. 📷 Pictures can't capture the refreshing feeling of being surrounded by dense forests; it's a must to experience it in person! Both the natural scenery and the cultural history are worth the visit. 🏞️ Reasons to recommend: 1️⃣ There are hardly any people on weekends, not noisy at all 2️⃣ The trails along the way are very friendly, mostly paved with stone slabs, suitable for all ages 3️⃣ After entering the scenic area, there is a complete loop, with clear signs for each attraction, no need to backtrack 4️⃣ The vegetation coverage on the mountain is very high, the air is good, and there are bamboo forests, making it a cool retreat in summer, not at all hot 🚶🏻‍♂️ Travel tips: 👉🏻 The entire hiking route is about 6️⃣KM, and it took us about 3️⃣ hours to climb the mountain while taking photos 👉🏻 The main attractions are concentrated on the uphill route on the left: Huan Yu Pool, Niu Tou Cave, Thousand Buddha Corridor, Immortal's Bed, Yu Quan Liu Shang Rock, Fu Hu Stone, Stone Bamboo Three Peaks, Ancient Stream Path, etc. 👉🏻 Stone Bamboo Three Peaks is particularly beautiful: two huge rocks hide a white Buddha statue 👉🏻 There are many rock carvings in the scenic area, scattered on various rock walls, but most are severely damaged, with only one place still intact.
