Saint Emilion ｜ Brilliant restaurant with tasty oyster and fish

During my last trip to Bordeaux, France, I took a side trip to nearby Saint-Émilion. I only realized after arriving that it’s a town full of famous wineries and has even been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The restaurant we visited was spacious, and it seemed like mostly locals were dining there. Their wine collection was extensive, though we didn’t order any since it was lunch. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and with a bit of lemon, there was no trace of fishiness. The pre-meal mini pizza was light and fluffy, so it didn’t make us feel too full. I tried a unique soup where the broth was poured over the ingredients at the table. It was very fresh and flavorful – I especially loved the subtle sweetness of the carrots. We ordered two fish dishes, and I must say, the French are great at seafood! The fish had a crispy outer layer, complemented by potatoes and asparagus.
