Fortress Hohensalzburg

Seeing a true middle ages castle, along with the lifestyle, customs and ruling of it is truly an amazing experience. The castle features a lot of stuff: from sightseeing at the top of the keep tower, to how peasants were imprisoned in the dungeon and how the castle was built, history around it and a museum. This has been a big dose of history for me, so for any enthusiasts out there looking to learn a bit of history during their trip, i totally recommend this place. Lovely castle. Some steep stairs to climb but fantastic views. Museum is good it's just a shame you can't get to see more of the rooms in the castle given the number they have. Great historical demonstrations in the castle Square, especially for young children to see such as stone masons, singers, blacksmiths etc. It was very busy and difficult to get photos without members of the public on to share on here so apologies. #austria #awesomepic #urbanexplorer
