The main treasure of Armenia.

This is the most beautiful Lake Sevan. The largest lake in the Caucasus. It is located in a gigantic mountain basin surrounded by the Sevan, Pambak, Vardenis, and Geghama ranges at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters above sea level. Lake Sevan is associated with many legends and traditions. One legend says that Sevan's water was originally so pure and sacred that only the stars and gods were allowed to drink from it. And this is indeed true: the water is crystal clear, transparent, and azure. It's pleasantly refreshing in the heat. For relaxation, there are equipped beaches with shelters and sun loungers. Nearby, there are several cafes and barbecue areas with tables if you want to have a picnic. I appreciate the cleanliness everywhere. You can rent a catamaran, a boat, or a scooter. The sunsets are beautiful. The evening views of the lake from the observation deck of the Sevanavank Monastery were especially impressive. And in the evening, there's fishing. The gastronomic symbol of the lake is Sevan trout – ishkhan, which means "prince." Trout and whitefish kebabs, right on the shores of Lake Sevan, watching the sunset – that's a must-experience. I came for two days, and it was a thrill. The photos are magnificent. You can get there from Yerevan with a tour or on your own; the distance is 60-70 km. The weather is characterized by a constant wind.
