Shanghai Guofeng New Hotel: Experience staying at Shanghai Dahua Changfeng Hotel

Membership Level: IHG Platinum Hotel Treatment: Room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, fruit plate, etc. I took the opportunity to experience the newly opened Changfeng Huayi Hotel in Shanghai while on a business trip. The entire Huayi brand is the only one under the Zhouji umbrella that features Chinese-style decoration, so the hotel is filled with various Chinese elements. For example, many decorations use the traditional Chinese 'circle' to interpret, and there are bamboo groves and various wooden elements outside the windows of the lobby bar. The hotel is in an excellent location, right across from Changfeng Park, with Changfeng Park subway station downstairs, and Changning Joy City just across the street. It's about a 25-minute drive from Hongqiao. 🛏️ Check-in Experience I did not receive a pre-arrival call before reaching the hotel, but upon arrival, the concierge at the main entrance of the hotel proactively helped with the luggage. Although there was no pre-arrival call, the front desk staff carefully inquired about every need of the guests during check-in and tried their best to satisfy them. As a Platinum member, I was proactively upgraded to a deluxe lake-view room, but I felt that the room was more like a small open-plan suite. 🏨 Room Experience The room maintains the consistent standard of Huayi products, with an entrance vestibule and a separate cloakroom. After entering, there is a small open sofa, the room is equipped with an electric toilet, the TV can cast screen, there is no coffee machine, but it is equipped with a set of tea utensils and four types of tea bags, which is also the consistent style of Huayi. The bathroom has a bathtub, but the water pressure is not very stable. 🍞 Breakfast Experience I had stayed at the Huayi Hotel in Haikou before and didn't have a very rich impression of the breakfast. This time, the breakfast at Changfeng Huayi Hotel was also very rich, with local specialties like salty rice balls, Shanghai-style tofu pudding, scallion oil noodles, beef noodles, pan-fried buns, etc., all tasting good. This hotel, being newly opened and blessed with Chinese style, has surprises in every corner, and the enthusiasm of the staff also left me with a good impression. I will choose to stay here again when I come back to Shanghai.
