So, I stayed in the Baroque-style Shanghai Garden Hotel that I had been longing for ☑️☑️ Between the small Western-style houses and old alleys of Huaihai Road, this hotel, originally designed as the "French Club" by a French architect in 1926, boasts a beautifully secluded private back garden with lush greenery and an elegant atmosphere. It is one of the earliest luxury hotels in Shanghai. I enjoy walking at night 👣👣, the warm yellow night light tinting the building, as if stepping into the staggered time of an old movie 🎦🎦 What is praiseworthy, besides the historical and cultural heritage of this European-style building, is the quality of the hotel's service ✍🏻✍🏻 The hotel is managed by the Japanese Okura Hotels Group, and the staff are friendly and courteous. While queuing to check in, as long as there is eye contact, they will immediately come over and softly ask you to please wait patiently. In the end, even though we were next in line to check in, the manager took us directly to the office to complete the check-in process. ✍🏻✍🏻 Our family of three stayed in a deluxe king room. When booking, we noted that there were three adults, and the hotel added a single bed in the room. The room was arranged on a high floor, overlooking the lush green garden. The room has an old-fashioned luxury style, with full marks for details, from the simple baseboards to various brass signs, all showing the hotel's meticulous management. 🌈🌈 Yes, you must try the butter cookies. You can buy a mix of two flavors, orange peel and raisins (hotel guests can purchase directly with their room card).
