Baoguo Temple, a lesser-known but worth-visiting place

Surrounded by water on three sides, the serene and tranquil Baoguo Temple welcomes a steady stream of citizens and tourists with the most brilliant colors of a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree. This ancient ginkgo tree stands in the center of the temple courtyard, like a wise sage who has witnessed the vicissitudes of history. There are some differences from ordinary temples. For example, ordinary temples usually have a mountain gate, and after entering the mountain gate, the main hall you see is often the Mahavira Hall, followed by the Guanyin Hall and some other halls. However, the main entrance of Baoguo Temple is the 'Heavenly King Hall.' Although the plaque of Baoguo Temple hangs above the hall door, it is not conspicuous at all. By the way, the Guanwang Temple is still preserved, but it is just a very small hall. The main entrance faces Lanlu Port, and you can enter through the small door on the west side of Baoguo Temple. It seems that the incense is still quite prosperous.
