Summary of the trip to Huizhou

Nowadays, I still prefer to call Huangshan City as Huizhou, which sounds more poetic. Here are some summaries and suggestions from my trip to Huizhou: 1. The ancient city of Huizhou did not amaze me too much; it is just a commercial street that retains traditional architecture, similar to the style of Tunxi Old Street. If you are taking the high-speed train, just choose Tunxi Old Street, as the two places are only thirty kilometers apart, and there is no need to go to great lengths to do the same thing twice; 2. Hongcun, Xidi, and Chengkan, these three ancient villages, in my opinion, if time is not ample, you can just choose one to visit. They are all Huizhou-style ancient villages filled with pastoral charm. The surrounding Mukeng Bamboo Sea and Stone Forest are also worth a visit if you are on a self-driving tour; 3. The most important part of visiting Huizhou is climbing Mount Huangshan. The Celestial Capital Peak is still not open, and the official opening date has not been announced. The opening dates on the internet are all rumors. Mount Huangshan truly deserves the praise 'Once you've ascended Mount Huangshan, you'll see no other mountains are comparable.' As long as the weather is not particularly bad or the fog is not too heavy, Mount Huangshan is worth the climb; 4. Finally, I recommend a spot that is often glossed over on travel apps but is actually quite stunning - Xixi South. Although it is free of charge, it does not mean it is of poor quality. Calling it the secret realm of Huizhou is not an exaggeration; it's a real-life fairyland.
