Like an ink painting, the Dajiuhu Lake. It is said that the Yan Emperor Shennong set up nine pots to refine medicine in Dajiuhu Lake, which later transformed into nine lakes. Dajiuhu Lake is a scenic spot near Pingqian Town in Shennongjia, it is natural and one of the few watersheds that divide the north-south climate with lakes. The water from the nine lakes flows into the Yangtze River in the south and the Han River in the north. In today's South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the water from Dajiuhu Lake supplies Beijing and Tianjin.
