Shenzhen Hiking Trip: Wutong Mountain Dengyun Trail

The Dengyun Trail on Wutong Mountain is a newly constructed hiking path in recent years, touted as the most convenient trail to Wutong Mountain. The entrance is close to Liantang Station on Metro Line 2/8. From the foot of the mountain, there are continuous steps leading all the way to the Shenzhen TV Tower on Little Wutong Mountain. Although this trailhead is located in the Liantang urban area, it seems that more people prefer to hike up Little Wutong Mountain from the Lingyun Trail at Wutong Mountain South Station, as the route is shorter. In fact, the Dengyun Trail is mostly a forest path all the way to near the top, with not much scenery, making it perhaps more suitable for summer hiking. Additionally, note that the Dengyun Trail leads to Little Wutong, and there is still a long distance to Big Wutong. Difficulty: 2-3/5 stars (continuous uphill steps, quite easy for those who can walk stairs) Time required: 1-1.5 hours (allocate time for descending via another trail)
