spring festival is absolutely important time for the chinese worldwide... and to celebrate the joyous and auspicious time to usher the chinese New Year of the water rabbit is none other than some intimate moments to explore the local surroundings.. The old streets of Shajing 沙井 is full of yesteryears and nostalgic old ancestral temples, clan houses, retro buildings still inhabitants by the locals. it's definitely one of the eye opening to see red decorations being put up by the residents alike to the moods of new year. Although many of the residents may have returned back to their respective provincial hometowns, but the festive spirit will remains apparent through their homes, parks, community buildings, etc. I really appreciates the beauty of old villages in Shajing that still kept in its originality and old world charm.. that's make Shenzhen as a whole isn't only about modern futuristic buildings but a city that still embraced the tradition..
