I soaked in a hot spring in Tengchong: The beauty of obscurity often lies in its remoteness

Description: A friend who has never worked and lives in Tengchong for a long time recommended this hot spring. Coincidentally, a friend was visiting, so the three of us set off in a car after lunch. All the way, I marveled at how extraordinary this traveling friend was, to have found such an out-of-the-way place. An hour and a half later, we arrived at the ethnic village in Qushi Town. At the intersection, we could already see the small sign pointing to 'Hetou Natural Hot Spring'. Finally, the car climbed up a steep mountain road, and a parking lot appeared before us, with license plates from Sichuan (C), Heilongjiang (A), and Jilin (B). Going up, there were also several vehicles from Yunnan (M). Seeing so many local cars, I felt reassured, but even more curious about how they all knew about this hidden spot. We walked past vegetable gardens, a rural kitchen, and a stretch of fish ponds, interspersed with ginkgo and camellia trees, and met the owner. The owner spoke Mandarin quite well, which he said he practiced with tourists from all over the world. He served us local tea and fruit (see picture 6), the taste of the tea slightly resembling that of Wanglaoji herbal tea. The owner said it was the same ingredient. He mentioned that the hot spring had been open for 25 years, which he started when he was in his forties. I couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like to soak in the hot springs 25 years ago. It was a Tuesday, and there weren't many people, so we decided to take advantage of the remaining sunlight and swim a few laps in the pool first. The water in the swimming pool was a few degrees cooler than in the small soaking pools, and the outline of the tiled floor at the bottom was clear. When the water turned golden, it was time to turn back. Popping my head out of the water, the afternoon sun was just right, hitting the stairs at the entrance of the pool. I casually took a few photos of my girlfriend, then continued to complete five laps. Back at the soaking pool, my friend explained the historical reasons for various irregular pronunciations and why French is not a precise language, but more like 'a mountain of historical codes piled up into a mess'. I mentioned that in French (for example, vous, il/ils) it's impossible to tell from the pronunciation whether you're asking about an individual or a group. He said that's normal, just like in English you can't ask 'which number': You can't inquire in English about 'what number' you are to arrive at this hot spring today. How to translate? Price: The big pool is 50, accommodating 3-4 people. The swimming pool is an additional 20, but the owner said since it was our first time, he let us swim for free. The food is average, although the owner introduced that the chicken and ducks (he pointed behind the kitchen), pigs (he pointed down the hill to the pigsty), cows (he said were at home), and vegetables (he pointed right below the attic). There were also four or five fish ponds that we could see on our way up, and his gestures pointing to his own mountain fields, vegetable gardens, and livestock sheds were like an emperor's, but his attitude was as gentle and humble as my grandfather's.
