The Hill of the Buddha

Atama Daibutsu. The hill of the Buddha is a Buddhist shrine at Makomanai Takino Cemetery in Sapporo, Japan. The statue of the Buddha is about 13.5 m tall surrounded by an artificial hill rotunda planted with 150,000 lavender plants. We were late to see the lavender plants when we visited, and it was also rainy. Hence the weather was gloomy.
