Sanjiangkou is located 4 kilometers northeast of Tongjiang City, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. It is the confluence of the Songhua River and the Heilongjiang River and is part of the China-Russia border. The Heilongjiang River is dark green, gentle and open, and the Songhua River is yellow due to more silt. After the two rivers converge, the river is surging, the water color is clear, and the eastward flow is tens of miles without mixing. It is one of the famous natural beauties in the Northeast. As an important section of the China-Russia border, Sanjiangkou was an important node for military defense and trade in history. Now it has become a famous tourist attraction. This was a battlefield more than 90 years ago. In October 1929, the Zhongdong Road Incident broke out. The Chinese and Soviet armies had military conflicts near Manzhouli. The Northeast Army failed. On October 12, the Soviet army launched an attack on the Northeast Navy, setting off the Sino-Soviet Navy Sanjiangkou Fuyu Battle. The Soviet army dispatched thousands of people such as aircraft, warships, machine gun vehicles, cavalry, and infantry to attack the Chinese army in Tongjiang. The battle was extremely fierce. In the end, Tongjiang City was lost. Under the repeated bombing of Soviet aircraft, Fuyu County also fell.
