The Royal Ontario Museum, located in the center of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is the fifth largest museum in North America. It was founded by the Ontario government on April 16, 1912, and was managed by the University of Toronto until 1955. It is the largest and most diverse museum in Canada, with collections in natural science, animal ecology, art, and anthropology, among others.
