Phu Chi Fa is a mountain peak located on the Thai-Laos border in Thoeng District. The peak is about 1,442 meters above sea level. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Chiang Rai city. The view from up there was incredibly beautiful. It was so awesome. 🚗 Travel: For those who drive, I recommend choosing a good route. Even if the map shows another route that is closer, Don't take the risk because it's very steep. On the way back, we were careless and thought nothing was wrong, but it was very steep. The brakes were so bad that we had to stop and rest every now and then. - On the way from Chiang Rai to Thoeng District, take route 1020. When you reach Thoeng District, go straight on route 1021. Then, when you reach the intersection, take route 1155 and then route 1093. - On the way back, no comment at all. I don't dare recommend it because we went the wrong way. The brakes were so bad that they were about to burn.🥹 💞Additional advice: - If you're going to watch the sunrise or in the morning, it's better to stay nearby. If you're staying in the city, you have to leave at 4 a.m. to make it on time. But some parts of the road are dark and quite steep, which is a bit scary. - Prepare some extra legs. The distance from the parking lot to the top of the mountain is not very far, but it's still a bit tiring. But luckily, we went when the weather was cold, so we could walk leisurely, stop to see the view, and take pictures. It didn't take long to get there.
