Wuhai | There is a so-called Thousand Island Lake in Wuhai Lake

🚗The Wuhai Lake Ecological Tourism Area is formed by the 118-square-kilometer gentle water surface and surrounding lake area created after the completion of the Yellow River Haibowan District Water Conservancy Project. Together with the Gandershan Ecological Civilization Scenic Area, it presents a spectacular scene where water and sand reflect each other and mountains and water are connected. It traverses Wuhai City from north to south, covering scenic spots such as the Ulan Buh Desert, Ulan Naor Lake, Wuhai Lake, Poplar Island, and Rabbit Island. Looking from east to west, the clear water stretches to the horizon, reaching the golden sandy shore. On one side is the clear water, and on the other side is the golden sand, creating a magnificent and natural picture, forming a beautiful painting of 'a peaceful lake emerging from the desert, and a Jiangnan in the frontier'. 🚗The Thousand Island Lake is within the Wuhai Lake Scenic Area. Locals also call it the Island within an Island, which I think is a more fitting name because... there is really only one island. Although there is only one island, the scenery is still quite nice. The island is lush and green, providing a refreshing view. The surrounding area has the atmosphere of a tropical resort. To the east stands the majestic Khan Mountain of Genghis Khan. Viewing the island from different angles offers different kinds of beauty, making it a delightful sight. 🚗However, to be honest, the name is a bit exaggerated. Compared to the Thousand Island Lake in Zhejiang, it falls far short, haha.
