My biggest impression of Wuxi this time is the strong commercial atmosphere. Nanchan Temple has the largest external flow of people and is the noisiest temple I have visited so far. Generally, temples are quiet places, even with many visitors, they don't feel bustling, but during the May Day holiday, a market was set up outside Nanchan Temple, and not far away was a crowded food street, which made me feel like it could disturb those in meditation. ✅ The architecture itself is still very beautiful, with a stronger classical aura compared to Hengshan Temple (at the foot of the mountain) that I visited the day before. It would be nice to visit on a normal day, but during May Day, it's really not recommended, quite irritating.
