Xiamen DoubleTree by Hilton The hotel decor is a bit dated, but the location is close to the sea with pure sea views. There is a sailboat bay downstairs. It would be nice to come here for a summer vacation. Located in Wuyuan Bay, I booked a basic room and got a bay view room with my Gold Card! The welcome cookies were delicious and the welcome fruit was sweet (not pictured). You can lie in bed and watch the little sailboats from your room. Sailing is great! The only downside is the location. Other food recommendations on the island: Yuehua Satay Noodles, Shiheli Ginger Duck!!! We waited in line for 1 hour before we could eat it!! The owner was super nice and kept telling us not to get excited or nervous while waiting in line! When we ordered, he reminded us that two girls should order less food to avoid waste. If the executive lounge was open all day, I would give it 4.5 stars. The executive lounge is only open for 4 hours from 5 pm to 9 pm and only offers happy hour. . So, although the lounge is large and has a great sea view, it is dark by the time it opens, so you can't see anything. This is the most annoying thing, especially since there are two full-body massage chairs in front of the large glass window facing the sea. If it was a sunny afternoon, it would be so comfortable to have a massage, eat snacks, and enjoy the sea view here. Unfortunately, it is not open! So annoying! . Happy hour starts at 6 pm. The drinks are average, and the food is more like a meal, but there is no white rice. Fortunately, although there were not many hot dishes that day, they were all delicious, including garlic lettuce leaves, green beans and black fungus with minced meat, fried noodles, and roast duck and char siu. Although the roast duck and char siu were obviously leftovers from the buffet or Chinese restaurant, the char siu was delicious and of good quality. The fried noodles were better than the takeout fried noodles I ordered a few days ago, so I ordered another plate after finishing one. I ate it all. . The cold dishes included spicy pig ears and celtuce. The clam and tofu soup was good that day, very tender and fresh. In short, you can eat until you are full.
