Yantai Tourism | A Great Place for Summer Hiking in Kunyu Mountain's Shimenli

Yantai tourism, all the popular spots have been checked off! A local friend recommended Yangma Island, and I discovered this niche attraction nearby: Kunyu Mountain! This place is part of Yantai's Muping District, close to the border with Weihai. It's really inconvenient to get here by taxi from downtown Yantai. But when returning, it was impossible to hail a cab, so I had to accept the local offer of 100 yuan to Yangma Island. Kunyu Mountain Scenic Area is divided into: Jiulong Pool, Yanxia Cave, Wuran Temple, Yuegu Palace, and Shimenli, five major scenic areas. We chose one of them: Shimenli Scenic Area Hiking distance: The round trip was 6-7 kilometers (the whole route is paved with asphalt roads which are easy to walk on, there's a sightseeing car for about 20 yuan per person one way, we took a one-way trip. ✔️Mist City Flower Sea: Hydrangea blooming season ✔️Kunyu Mountain Forest Culture Museum: Free to visit, introduces the development history of Kunyu Mountain Scenic Area, and displays some rock and insect specimens. The architectural design is beautiful, and it is recommended to go inside for a visit. ✔️Sanshan Mountain: The main peak of Kunyu Mountain, from a distance, you can see three huge rocks on the mountain peak ✔️Mangrove Oxygen Bar: Touching turtles 🐢 Immersed in the mountains, the air is incredibly fresh, with a very high content of negative ions. In summer, this is an excellent place to escape the heat! Walking along the path, you can feel the wonder and tranquility of nature.
