Enjoying the Magical Snowy Winter

Yaroslavl is one of the oldest cities in Russia, it was founded 1009 years ago! Due to its history it became a widely known tourist destination and was put on The Golden Ring of Russia, The Golden Ring is a list of cities located relatively not far away from each other, each city has large history and a lot of attractions to visit. Since Yaroslavl is only 3 hours by train from Moscow, I decided to visit it during my winter trip to Russia. Moscow streets are all cleaned so it was nice to visit Yaroslavl and enjoy the winter wonderland it has to offer. Upon arriving at the train station around 11am, I started to walk along the Svoboda Street until I reached Volkov Square, where I had a great view of the historic Volkov’s Theater which was the first theater ever built in Russia at the time. It was recently renovated and is still operational. Then I proceeded to the walking Kirova Street and headed toward the Uspensky Cathedral. The Yaroslavl riverside is the perfect place to enjoy snowy winter wonderland and the white churches look stunning in the snow, I had great time walking around the riverside, then I reached the Yaroslavl museum and enjoyed the architecture and the perfect blanket of snow. I was lucky with great weather on my visit to Yaroslavl because it was relatively warm for this region.
