In the winter it is quite beautiful

Bridal Veil is a thin ribbon of water that only flows heavily during the winter and early spring runoff. For much of the year there is not much there. The walk to the base of the falls is very short so it is easy to get to although for a really great view, I recommend the short hike up Old Big Oak Flat Road. Cross the first two small slide areas and you will be rewarded with an amazing view of the falls, El Capitan, Half Dome and many other Valley landmarks.
