Lijiang Yuhu Village | Be a Naxi Villager for 2 Days at the Foot of the Snow Mountain

- This time I planned to find a village at the foot of the snow mountain to stay for two days. I checked Wenhai Village and Yuhu Village, and finally chose Yuhu Village, which offers more experiences. · ⛰️Yuhu Village is located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Its history can be traced back to more than 1,000 years ago, and it has a profound Naxi culture. Although most tourists come for Longnv Lake, I highly recommend experiencing the Naxi life here. · 🏨My friend and I stayed at Shitoucuo Hotel near Longnv Lake. Most of the staff are Naxi people, and you can follow them to experience the local customs of Yuhu Village. · 🧺There are mountain picking trips every morning and afternoon. Although there are no mushrooms in this season, you can also pick some plants to make plant picture frames and fridge magnets. · 🍰You can have afternoon tea in any corner of the hotel. Just tell the butler, and it will be delivered to you. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the snow mountain scenery on the outdoor lawn. · 📜I recommend experiencing a Naxi home visit in Yuhu Village. Make an appointment with the butler in advance, and you can visit the villagers' homes, learn papermaking, write Dongba characters, and experience the local life. · 🔥The dinner here is the most atmospheric among the hotels I have stayed in. The Naxi guys will toast and sing blessing songs to every table of guests. After dinner, there is a bonfire party, where a group of people watch fireworks under the starry sky, singing and dancing. · 🌄It is more convenient to go to Longnv Lake to watch the sunrise in the morning! It takes about 3 minutes to walk from the hotel to the lake. The butler will inform you of the sunrise time for the next day in the group every night (just walk there a few minutes in advance). We were very lucky to see the sunrise on both days, and there were not many people. Yuhu Village is worth visiting.
