Travelling Back in Time - Zaanse Schans

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the historic village of Zaanse Schans on my trip to the Netherlands. This 18th/19th-century village is truly a sight to behold, with its iconic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses lining the cobblestoned streets. I was amazed at the level of preservation of the buildings and the many quaint shops and restaurants, all of which contribute to the picturesque atmosphere. The village itself is well worth exploring, with its many museums, galleries, and historic sites. I had the opportunity to learn about the traditional Dutch lifestyle, and there were plenty of opportunities to sample Dutch cuisine. I was particularly impressed with the Zaanse Schans Cheese Farm, where you can see the cheese-making process in action and sample some delicious local cheeses. My time in Zaanse Schans was an incredibly memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Dutch culture and history.
