Ningxia·Zhongwei·Shapotou

Ningxia Shapotou is located on the southeastern edge of the Tengger Desert, in the western part of Zhongwei city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It starts from the southern forest house of the second sand ditch in the east, extends to the first dune in the west, borders the Tengger Desert to the north, and the Yellow River to the south, with a length of about 38 kilometers and a width of about 5 kilometers, at an altitude of 1300-1500 meters. Shapotou combines the desert, the Yellow River, mountains, and oases in one place, featuring the majestic scenery of the Northwest and the beautiful landscape of the South of the Yangtze River. It has China's largest natural sand sliding field, the 'First Cableway over the Yellow River', the ancient waterwheel representing Yellow River culture, the oldest transportation on the Yellow River - the sheepskin raft, and the rare mirage in the desert. You can ride camels across the Tengger Desert, surf the sandy sea in off-road vehicles, and experience the spectacle of the solitary smoke in the desert and the sunset over the long river just a stone's throw away.
