Free & Easy Around Zurich in Spring

Working in the watch industry, we flew Switzerland every year for Basel Fair. Every time we stay in Zurich because of the limited and higher hotel rates in Basel. However due to our long working hours, never had we got the chance to explore Zurich town. So we decided to make it happen finally. We stayed in Walhalla Hotel which is located strategically next to the SBB railway station and walking distant to the shopping streets. The weather was great in March, chilling with great landscapes of flowers around the city. Zurich is an easy city to walk around. As it was a free and easy plan for us, we walk around the famous street where most of the luxury brand retails like are located. We also came across the displays of Swiss chocolates and beautiful flowers and traditional chalet style cuckoo clocks. Shopping is something that is unavoidable in Zurich haha. All the retails and shops were so nicely decorated that it lured every passerby to drop by and have a look. One of the traditional restaurant that I would highly recommend is Restaurant Zeughauskeller. Love the interior of this restaurant, and of course they serve great Swiss dishes. This restaurant is always full house during lunch and dinner time, so if you can try to avoid these peak period.
