I found a place with half grassland and half flower fields at Poyang Lake!
This is a natural treasure campsite at Poyang Lake. Every year from October to November, there are large grasslands and flower fields here. You can take photos of flower fields, grasslands, windmills, migratory birds, lakes, and sunsets. It's a great place for camping. Come and enjoy nature before autumn ends!
📍Zhangjiatang Village, Duchang County, Jiujiang
🚗About 2 hours' drive from Jingdezhen
🎫Free
🔸Photo tips: Wear a white dress, fairy dress, or light blue dress. When taking photos of the flower fields, lower the angle to make the flowers look more abundant. You don't need to get too close, as taking photos from a distance can make the flowers look more abundant. When taking photos of the grasslands, bring a drone to capture a large area.
⚠️Note: The road is very uneven, with many potholes. Cars with low chassis should drive slowly. After passing the grasslands, there is a wet area before reaching the flower fields. Drive carefully, as many cars have gotten stuck in the mud.
I thought Erhai Lake was beautiful, until I went here...

Visit the ancient Fengyan terraces to see the rapeseed flowers dance in Jiangxi Duchang as the grey cranes take flight
First photo:
Fengyan ancient terraces: ~~~ The rapeseed flowers of the Fengyan terraces crisscross, beautiful up to the clouds, layer upon layer upon the distant mountains, winding and meandering around the clouds.
The ancient Fengyan terraces located in Xuanwo Town, Hanyin County, southern Shaanxi, are blooming with rapeseed flowers.
Standing on the high hills, overlooking the terraces, with paths crisscrossing, houses scattered, and the golden rapeseed flowers, they form a fresh and natural spring scenery.
What's more important is that such a beautiful place does not charge an entrance fee, it's free to visit ~~~ Photographed in Yanping Village
Photos 2-6:
Grey cranes ~~~ Photographed in Jiangxi Duchang
Eight or nine grey cranes, dancing gracefully above our heads, circling and flying. Clearly, they are chasing each other, dancing, and endlessly competing, engaging in a marathon-like endurance and dance skill contest.
Now is the breeding season for the grey cranes, and it is also a great opportunity for them to dance passionately and show off their skills.
At this moment, the grey cranes are like crazy, utterly obsessed, and wholeheartedly devoted to an endless dance.
Now, in the Duchang County Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, the water pepper flowers are in full bloom, and the national second-class protected animals, the grey cranes, have also gathered here. It is reported that there are more than 1,000.
The grey cranes fly in groups from the north to the Poyang Lake wetlands in Duchang to forage, with Duchang being the first stop. At present, the grey cranes are relatively concentrated; as more migratory birds arrive and food becomes scarcer, the grey cranes will gradually disperse to forage.
It is introduced that the grey cranes mainly feed on the rhizomes of plants such as water pepper grass and generally do not eat fish.
Visit the Poyang Lake flower sea to enjoy the blossoms
"Poyang Lake flower sea, you really had a blooming good time"
Spring at Poyang Lake turns into a sea of flowers, a sight too beautiful for words.
Stepping onto this land, the view before your eyes is intoxicating. An endless sea of flowers spreads out like a gorgeous tapestry across the earth. Flowers of all colors bloom in competition, red as fire, pink like the rosy sky, white as snow, interweaving into a vibrant and colorful scroll.
A gentle breeze passes, and the sea of flowers ripples with waves. The blossoms sway gently, as if waving and smiling at the visitors. Bees in the flower sea busily shuttle back and forth, collecting nectar, adding vitality to this lively scene.
Walking into the flower sea, strolling among the blossoms, you can feel the fragrance of the flowers and their soft touch. Each flower radiates its unique charm, making it impossible not to be captivated.
In the distance, the lake water sparkles, complementing the flower sea. Waterbirds play on the lake surface, sometimes flying, sometimes diving into the water, adding dynamism to this tranquil scene.
In this sea of flowers, people fully enjoy the gifts of nature. Children run and play among the flowers, their laughter echoing through the sea of blossoms; couples hold hands, leaving romantic memories in the flower sea; the elderly leisurely appreciate the beautiful scenery, feeling the beauty of life.
The Poyang Lake flower sea is not just a visual feast, but also a purification of the soul. It allows people to forget the worldly troubles and immerse themselves in the embrace of nature.
The beautiful Poyang Lake
Poyang Lake has a very beautiful scenery, with the densest lake in the south of the Yangtze River, the noblest bird, the most abundant water, and the most poetic grass.
Coming to Poyang Lake during the dry season and walking on the soft and elastic grassland is a wonderful feeling. Along the way, you can see layers of green that never end. With the change of the sky, the clouds float and stretch shallowly or deeply towards the distance until the horizon. Especially the wide Poyang Lake in the depths of the grassland and the grassland reflect each other, the grassland is like the sea, and Poyang Lake is also like the sea, with vast waves. The boundless water area is inhabited by migratory birds such as swans and egrets. In this kingdom of migratory birds, any small life is unrestrained.
Here, it is refreshing.

Winter is a great time to go bird watching for free at Poyang Lake
I saw so many birds at Poyang Lake for the first time, the scene was a bit spectacular.
Poyang Lake is located in the northern part of Jiangxi Province, the lake is divided among Nanchang, Jiujiang and Shangrao three cities, it is the largest freshwater lake in China.
The beautiful and fertile Poyang Lake nurtures generations of creatures living by the lake, the superior environment and climate conditions are suitable for migratory birds to overwinter. In winter, there will be hundreds of thousands of migratory birds here, and flocks of migratory birds from Siberia will also fly thousands of miles to come here, among which there are many national protected bird species.
Poyang Lake is very large, there are quite a few bird watching spots, but the recommended one is Baihezhou bird watching spot. There is a bird watching corridor where you can see very close groups of white cranes, equipped with free-to-use telescopes, through which you can carefully observe the birds' every move, quite cute! There are white cranes, white-crowned cranes, wild geese, white-headed cranes, swans and many other bird species.
🎫The Baihezhou bird watching spot does not charge an entrance fee, just a parking fee if you drive there.
Warm tips:
⭐️Don't wear too bright clothes for bird watching, especially red.
⭐️Don't use flash when taking pictures
⭐️Don't make loud noises or run
