2024 Gao'an Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in September)
Gao’an, situated to the west of Nanchang, the provincial capital of Jiangxi, was founded in 201 BCE, and has a history stretching back more than 2000 years. It is referred to as the “industrial base for architectural ceramics in China” and the “hometown of Chinese calligraphy.” High peaks encircle the scenic area of Gao’an Hualin Mountain, with its perilously steep terrain. Daguanlou, with its many layers of antique style eaves, zigzagging winding corridors, and beautiful lattice windows, gives visitors a taste of the simple, understated elegance of days gone by.

Please, please stay here if you come to Gaoan!!!!
I'm really glad that I did a little more research before I came here! I went to Gaoan on a business trip a while ago, and I planned to go around and play when I was ready to go back, so I made a route strategy in advance and finally decided on the Yilu Xingcheng Hotel. Finally, I stayed in a super cost-effective hotel in Gaoan.
Location: The location is easy to find, you can see a large sign from a distance, it is located near the city center, very close to the train station, convenient transportation, very close to the more famous places in Gaoan such as the museum, Ruizhou government office, Ruiyang Lake Wetland, etc. It is the best choice for foreign tourists!! There are Anju Road Food Street and Pengtai Department Store Supermarket Huading Store around the hotel, which can satisfy your appetite and shopping needs!!
Price: The cost performance is extremely high. I have stayed in other hotels in Gaoan before. The price is several hundred yuan and I have to live in a small broken room; but here, you only need a price of more than one hundred yuan to live in a clean and comfortable room. The check-in experience is excellent, the cost performance is extremely high, and the whole house is intelligent voice control, full of technology.
Hygiene: The bedding is so comfortable, I sleep so well, and the hygiene is very clean and tidy; Breakfast: The restaurant has a rich variety of dishes, local special pickled noodles, small dishes, self-service fried eggs, daily different rib soup or sweet soup, as well as other noodles, pastries, fruits, etc., so you can enjoy the food!!
Other facilities: There is also a laundry room on the first floor of the hotel. The most important thing is that the hotel has a special car for free pick-up and drop-off to the high-speed rail station and long-distance bus station, which can save you from worrying about your trip! (Friendly reminder: make an appointment with the front desk one hour in advance!)

(Dayu Temple)
Dayu Temple is like a shining pearl in the river of time, quietly shining with its unique light.
Dayu Temple, an ancient temple with a history of thousands of years and a profound cultural heritage. It is located in a quiet place, far away from the hustle and bustle of the world, like a paradise. The vermilion gate is solemn and majestic, and the three big characters "Dayu Temple" on the plaque on the door are vigorous and powerful, revealing a simple atmosphere.
Stepping into the temple, a peaceful and peaceful atmosphere comes to your face. The towering ancient trees stretch out their lush branches and leaves, adding a touch of tranquility and mystery to the temple. The sunlight shines through the gaps in the leaves, forming patches of light, as if telling the story of the years.
The Daxiong Hall stands tall, with a golden dome shining in the sun. In the hall, the Buddha statue is solemn and solemn, and the kind face makes people feel endless compassion and peace. The incense is curling, the Sanskrit sounds, and the believers kneel and worship devoutly, praying for the comfort of the soul and the happiness of life.
Walking on the path of the temple, the bluestone slab road is winding, and the flowers and plants on both sides emit a faint fragrance. The ancient buildings are scattered and orderly, with carved beams and painted buildings, exquisite craftsmanship, showing the wisdom and ingenuity of the ancients. Here, time seems to freeze, allowing people to immerse themselves in the long river of history, feeling that ancient and deep tranquility.

Pretend to be in Xishuangbanna! Actually in Jiangxi!
Pretend literature, used vividly by Jiangxi people!
Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing a lake on one side, the terrain is mainly mountainous and hilly, with developed water transportation systems. There are many famous mountains, definitely without the southwestern style, but in Jiangxi, you can find the flavor of Southeast Asia or Xishuangbanna!
In a small town in Yichun, Jiangxi, there is an authentic small village with rice fields and gardens, combined with tropical plants, giving you the illusion of not being in Jiangxi. Especially the glass house by the water, the swing in the garden, they really put a lot of effort into creating an ecological farm!
Check-in guide:
The swing is a must-check-in spot, it looks amazing, especially under the sunlight, with the colorful grass, sky, and green trees. Wearing a bright dress, preferably a backless one, gives a full vacation vibe!
The glass house by the water can be entered for shooting, but personally, I think the close-up shots are not as good as the long shots with an empty frame, especially with a few leaves hanging in the foreground as decoration, the picture immediately becomes rich and layered!
The abandoned small boat and the thatched house are also highly recommended for shooting, because the weather was great that day, making the photos look amazing. If the weather is gloomy, the effect might not be as good!
The aesthetics of our ancestors! So beautiful that one can't help but marvel!
We arrived at Pavlo Town, which sounds European, but upon arrival, we found it to be a mix of styles. No matter who you are, you can find a style that suits you here!
Special recommendation:
This is a Chinese-style courtyard, a resting area provided by the town for tourists. It features rockeries and waterfalls, symmetrical Chinese gardens, white walls, and black tiles, giving the impression of a wealthy family.
In ancient architectural regulations, yellow was for the emperor, red for the royal family, and black for wealthy families and officials. This place is clearly designed according to the standards of a grand mansion.
In the courtyard, besides dining and resting, you can also stroll around, take photos, and check in. Highly recommended!
Check-in guide:
It's suggested not to wear white unless you're shooting between black wooden structures, otherwise, the photos won't turn out well!
Bright and vibrant clothes are recommended. In front of white walls and Chinese architecture, it gives a strong sense of ancient style immersion!
For photo composition, a centered style is recommended, which fits the atmosphere well!
tips
There is a temperature difference between morning and evening in the countryside, so it's recommended to take sun protection during the day. The sun is indeed strong, and it gets a bit chilly after sunset in the evening!
The European-style pastoral scenery here will make you reluctant to leave
Driving for an hour from Nanchang, we arrived at the Dream Manor in Gao'an!
Environmental Features:
Backed by the countryside and facing the river, there is a vast and lush green lawn in the middle. The undulating slopes are not steep but uneven, giving a very European pastoral feel.
The manor specially built European-style buildings, making you feel like you're in Europe! Coupled with the surrounding rural scenery and small animal sculptures, it has a very Swiss vibe!
Check-in Guide:
Check-in in front of the European-style buildings, leaving a large blank space for the lawn. You can take panoramic shots or close-ups of people.
The reeds and small animal sculptures on the lawn, paired with tropical trees, give an effect of the African savannah. The background is not a forest but a small European chapel, making it hard to distinguish between Europe and Africa!
Don't miss the bamboo forest check-in either. This area has a Chinese style, hahaha. Indeed, all kinds of styles are gathered here!
Check-in by the water's edge, taking photos from a distance, gives a very Southeast Asian tropical feel!
