Guildford is such a nice place for living and chill and sometimes people say it is the county town of Surrey. This area is located on the hill and has full of natural beauty . For example, you can climb up to the hill and see the beautiful town of Guildford! This week, I have spent some spare times in the Town centre of Guildford and ate sushi for my lunch. After that, I went to see the beautiful sunset ! #blog

#uktrip Visited in late April. We visit every year for the Tulip Festival and usually spend either a morning or afternoon happily exploring Dunsborough Park. This year it was billed as a Spring opening - 'with some tulips'. Sadly the spring planting was lacking without the tulips. Nothing much showing and we were in and out within 40 mins. Seems like the tulips have been relied on for spring colour and now they are left with not very much at this time of year. Lots of empty beds. The two renowned designers used must have produced planting plans that allowed for a succession of interest but there is no evidence of that now. The wisteria was lovely though. Anyway - this is a private garden so what they have or do not have is their prerogative, however if you are opening for the public (who are used to seeing fabulous colour here) - this might need a re-think. Tulips are expensive but maybe some other perenial spring planting would extend the season of interest and be more sustainable. Just a personal opinion. Also very sad to see the desparate state of the wonderful glasshouse. Having said all of that - we have enjoyed our visits in the past, so thank you for sharing your garden with us over the years

It was great buying the ticket online—received the code instantly and used the ticket machine in under a minute. The whole process was quick, smooth, and convenient. And after reaching Guildford, the view made it completely worthwhile.

Honestly, this birthday outing had all the potential to be a disaster. The temperature was over 30 degrees, the steam train was unavailable due to Health & Safety rules, and an IT glitch meant there were no canapes. Despite these setbacks, we were in carriage B where Dan, Catherine, and Diamond tirelessly ran up and down to cater to our every need. They probably need a five-hour cold shower to recover from their efforts. The food was amazing, and overall, we had a fantastic time.

Riviera Village: An eclectic mix of over 300 specialty shops, top-rated restaurants, and boutiques that provide a lively atmosphere away from the pier.

An 80th birthday treat for our 'train enthusiast Dad,' who adores the steam era. The trip was powered by The Sir Nigel Gresley steam locomotive (no. 60007), departing from Bury St Edmunds (where Dad was born) to York Christmas Market. It was a birthday surprise that exceeded all expectations. A truly enchanting day from start to finish. Thanks to Jordan, Mustafa, and Edward for their care and attention, getting to know the guests and making everyone feel valued for the day. We chose Pullman dining since turning 80 is special! The meals were tasty, each course beautifully presented. Praise is also due to the chefs. Drinks were abundant, especially on the way back. A 4-5 hour trip each way, went by quickly. A day we wished would never end!

I traveled to Bowness with Steam Dreams on their Lakes Express and had an amazing experience. In Pullman Dining Class, I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner right on the train, with a great hotel arranged for me in Bowness. Every member of the Steam Dreams team was exceptional, and I can't commend this experience highly enough. The scenic train journey took us over the Settle-Carlisle line, really challenging our train, the Blue Peter pacific. I'll certainly be traveling with Steam Dreams again soon!
