The MOOMINVALLEY PARK Ticket & Travel Pass from Seibu Railway is one of the best options for visiting the Moomin theme park in Hanno. With this pass, you can enjoy unlimited rides on the Seibu Line for one day, allowing you to explore not only the Moomin theme park but also other attractions along the Seibu Line.
Starting from Seibu Ikebukuro, it takes about an hour to reach Hanno Station. After getting off, you can take a shuttle bus to Mesta Station. Upon arrival, you'll pass through a charming Nordic-style mini town with Nordic architecture, shops, parks, and lakes. Beyond this Nordic town lies the actual Moomin theme park, where Moomin and Snufkin greet visitors at the entrance! Inside the park, you'll find many recreated scenes featuring Moomin and his friends, including Moomin's house (the blue, pointed-roof one). If you're lucky, you might even get to take photos with Moomin and Moominmamma!
The park also features several small theaters and various limited-edition merchandise, making it hard to stop exploring. After your visit, you can return through Mesta Village to the parking lot and take the Moomin bus back to Hanno Station, where you can catch the Seibu Railway to your next destination!
Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park
This is a park themed around Moomin. Admission is free.
The park is quite spacious, with a pond in the middle, making it a considerable walk if you go around it.
There are facilities such as the 'Mushroom House' and the 'Forest House,' but the outdoor areas only have photo spots like the watermill, and there are no playground equipment.
If you want to play on playground equipment, the adjacent Asu Sports Park has plenty, so it might be a good idea to head there. The park is very well-designed, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The streams flowing throughout the park are also quite nice and relaxing.
Moominvalley Park!!
Metsa is a suburban leisure facility located in Hannō, Saitama Prefecture. It consists of the Moomin-themed park 'Moominvalley Park' and the Nordic lifestyle-themed complex 'Metsa Village.' This is the first Moomin-themed park outside of its home country, Finland.

There are also live entertainment and greetings by the Moomin family and their friends, exhibition facilities where you can feel the charm of the stories and the thoughts of the original author, Tove Jansson. It's a place where you can encounter new discoveries.

You will need a whole day to spend if you want to walk all around the park. Staffs didn't speak English, so it's quite hard for us to understand the show and tour. Anyway, the atmosphere was wonderful and we enjoyed it so much. Also, I recommend you to buy blueberries jam in the souvenir shop as a Omiyage. Visited on a weekend. Overall, the theming was beautiful
