To get to Cotton Cafe, you must first enter the La Vela Hotel. The hotel is stylishly designed, and there are really IG locations along the way. Cafe focuses on Croissant and light refreshments, not too many choices of cakes. Cappuccino is the most recommended. We ordered Asia Afternoon Tea Set, cheese cake and Pizza today, all of them are delicious. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, perfect for chilling and listening to the sound of waves on Pakarang Beach, Phang Nga province. Today, I stayed in a Family Pool Villa with two bedrooms. The villa is very private and tranquil, and there is a swimming pool where we can jump in directly from the bedroom. In the noon, there's even a coconut boat that goes around the resort selling coconuts and you can buy them fresh off the boat. How cool! The spread is just awesome and get your dollars worth with all that amazing seafood and cuts of meat. You can request for thick cuts of different types of sashimi, and then there's live stations with sushi made on the spot and a chef at the Tappan grill cooking your favourite cuts of meat such as kurobuta pork and Angus beef steaks, etc. Not forgetting all sorts of Japanese yakitori with many yummy skewers and Japanese cooked food such as tonkatsu, curry rice, Japanese yakisoba and fried rice, etc. The rows of food is just endless here at Sakura restaurant and the dessert live station was a hot favourite. People were queueing for Thai pancakes served with caramelized bananas and scoops of ice cream and fresh fruits. What makes me happy in the morning? A good sumptuous breakfast with an amazing beach view! At JW marriott khao lak, my family and I exactly had that. We went early for breakfast and chose the table with a stunning beach view. It was a luxury enjoying the food and having to look out at the blue skies and waves. I got to say the spread at Jw Marriott khao lak was the best! From fresh salads to cheese to a juice bar and fruit bars, they have it all. There are live stations not just serving simple egg omelete and sunny side ups but there's also eggs Benedict, Florentin and fritata. If you're looking for variety, there's even American breakfast to local Thai delights and Asian food which serves both Chinese dim sum and Indian food. Drinks wise, I love their local Thai milk tea aka cha yen but of course you can choose your usual coffee and tea as well. It's no wonder why it's always so busy during breakfast at JW marriott Khao Lak because it's simply the best and food standards/quality is amazingly good! #tripblazers

A Shark Santuary In a Resort 🦈

Stay at JW Marriott Khao Lak and I guarantee you a unique stay experience. Do you know that there's an actual shark sanctuary in the resort? Well, it's true and my family and I got to visit these precious bamboo sharks that JW marriott khao lak and Oceans For All Foundation are putting tremendous efforts in protecting these sea creatures. The bamboo shark sanctuary is only opened to hotel guests and we learnt a great deal about the bamboo sharks and why and how we could do our part in caring for the ocean and all its life within it. Other than that, we get to learn about their breeding program. We saw live sharks and their eggs and how they are being released back into the ocean. We also got to feed some baby sharks and it was a precious and amazing experience for everyone who attended their session at the sanctuary. The bamboo shark sanctuary is a must go, If you're staying at jw marriott khao lak. I would highly recommend it.
