It rained for about 2 hours in the afternoon, but after the rain stopped, the view was stunning. The best part—about a 4-hour drive from Chengdu, at an altitude of 3,800 meters, you can unlock a healing trip “at the foot of the snow mountain” in just a weekend overnight! 🏔️ 1. Why is it the “top camping spot in western Sichuan”? Daerpu is located in the core section of Lixiaolu (Lixian to Xiaojin County), a river valley meadow between two mountains. Bipenggou: Relaxing and easygoing. 3. Dagu Glacier: Relaxing and easygoing. Precautions 💡 All three locations are quite high with low oxygen levels. Prepare yourself by getting plenty of rest and bring oxygen canisters. Those prone to altitude sickness should take allergy medication before visiting any of the three places. Also, be careful of the winding roads between the parks. Those who get motion sickness easily should take motion sickness medication. 😁 P.S. If you go in winter, be prepared with warm clothing. All three locations are cold and windy.

You can simply let the driver know where you're staying, and they'll drop you off right at your door! · For the return trip, I also booked through Trip.com and selected a morning departure. The driver picked me up directly from my accommodation. 🚙 After arriving in Chengdu, I rested for a night before heading to the national park the following morning. 🏔️ Park Visit Day ☀️ The next morning was quite chilly. It will drop you off at the first stop. 📍 First Stop: Long Wang Hai Lake I absolutely loved this spot! If it isn't snowing, you'll see an emerald-green lake. With the mountains in the background casting beautiful reflections on the water, it's incredibly scenic. The bus drops you off here, and you'll have to walk quite a distance to catch the next bus to the second stop. 📍 Second Stop: Shang Hai Zi This area features a restaurant and serves as the ticket counter for the third stop. It’s basically a rest area where you can grab a bite to eat. 📍 Third Stop: Pan Yang Lake Here, you'll find gorgeous views of a waterfall and the lake. Depending on the season, there are also various fun activities to enjoy. 📍 Final Stop: Yan Zi Yan This is the ultimate highlight of the park! The views here are absolutely breathtaking, and I highly recommend everyone make the trip up to see it. I did this as a day trip, spending about 6 hours inside the park. Lixian currently has no high-speed rail station, but there are several easy ways to reach it: 🚌 Bus (best value): Take a bus from Chengdu Chadianzi station directly to Lixian. The trip takes about 3 hours and costs around 60 yuan per person. You can also transfer from Xinnanmen station. 🚙 Self-drive (most flexible): From Chengdu, take the Wenma Expressway or National Highway 317. The whole trip takes about 3–3.5 hours. The "Lixiaolu" route connects snow mountains, red rock beaches, and forests with stunning scenery along the way. ⚠️ Mountain roads have many curves. Watch for landslides during the rainy season.
