Qingyun Mountain Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The awe-inspiring Shanwei version of the Potala Palace | Dingguang Temple in Qingyun Mountain
If you haven't been to the Potala Palace yet👉, why not visit the Dingguang Temple in Lufeng, Shanwei🕌, especially on the ninth day of the first lunar month when Lufeng people go to Qingyun Mountain Dingguang Temple to 'ask for a poem'📸. The scene is very spectacular, and the crowd is comparable to Xuanwu Mountain.
✅ Founded in 1631 (nearly 400 years of history)
✅ 'The unique beauty of Lingnan'
✅ One of the three major Buddhist colleges in Guangdong
✅ The largest temple in Guangdong in terms of area
✅ The largest Buddhist college in Guangdong in terms of area
✅ The 'Little Larung Gar' of Guangdong
✅ The Shanwei version of the Potala Palace
...
An absolutely explosive presence💥 Not only is it an ancient and large-scale temple architecture, but it is also the leading Buddhist holy land in Shanwei🥇
📌【Location】Hexi Town, Lufeng City, Shanwei
🛰【Navigation】Qingyun Mountain - Dingguang Zen Temple
🕰【Opening Hours】7:00~19:00, no external vehicles and visitors are allowed from 19:00 until 7:00 the next day
💰【Admission】Free
⏰【Recommended Duration】It is recommended to arrange more than 2 hours, or half a day for a visit
🅿️【About Parking】Normally, cars can drive up to the middle of the mountain, but it's not feasible on holidays when there are many cars;
👉 About car-free travel
If you can drive, then drive, as Dingguang Temple is quite remote. If you really don't have a car, then take a taxi or bus⬇️
Bus 1⃣ Lufeng Bus Station→Dingguang Temple, take bus No. 12 from the station opposite the Mongkok Building, about 45 minutes, the terminal is Dingguang Temple
Bus 2⃣ Lufeng South Station→Dingguang Temple, take bus No. 33, about 1 hour, the terminal is Dingguang Temple
👉 About asking for poems and worshipping Buddha
The busiest day is the ninth day of the first lunar month each year. There are many shops at the foot of the mountain that 'interpret the poems', and the charges are a bit chaotic⚠️ Not everyone understands the culture of asking for poems, so it is suggested that friends from other places just worship
👉 About vegetarian meals
Vegetarian meals for visitors are free, but be prepared to donate some cash💴 into the 'Merit Box', just a token amount. You can have a vegetarian meal in the corner on the right-hand side of the Heavenly King Hall
👉 About the Buddhist realm
The glory of Dingguang Temple today is attributed to the founder of the Guangdong Buddhist Nunnery College, 'Master Honghui'👤. At the top of Dingguang Temple, there is the Honghui Relic Stupa, which has very impressive records of the person. Today's Dingguang Temple is one of only two Buddhist nunneries in the country, with an undergraduate level of Buddhism. In the Buddhist realm, respect the nuns, respect the flowers and plants💐, and refrain from making loud noises

The wind that misses you still blows to Shanwei~
The wind that misses you still blows to Shanwei~
I want to watch the sunset with you, sit by the sea and blow the evening wind. The small popular seaside beach around Guangdong with few people and blue sea
I originally went to the corner bend of Figure 4, but I didn't expect to encounter a beautiful sunset
Navigation location: Qian'ao Beach, Lufeng City
We drove to the corner bend of Figure 4. If you ride a motorcycle down, the video should be particularly beautiful!
We arrived at two or three in the afternoon when it was particularly hot and there were not many people, but the sun was big against the sea and the sky looked particularly blue. There were various small fishing boats parked by the sea, but when I saw the sunset, I felt everything was worth it!!!
There were not many people during the day, and people slowly came to the sea in the afternoon when it was getting dark. You can go into the water. It should be a newly developed commercialization. The place is not big. If you want to watch the sunset, you should arrive at four or five in the afternoon. By the way, the scenery along the way from Lufeng is also very good
Supplement: The blue sky and the sunset are really looking at the sky (all the above pictures are directly out of the Apple camera)

Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Xinzai Village of Shizai Village, Lufeng, Guangdong
Shizai Village is located in the northern part of Lufeng City, Guangdong Province, along the middle and lower reaches of the Luo River. In the first year of the Wude era of the Tang Dynasty (622), ancestors with the surnames Shi, Chen, and Xie quarried stones to build a fortress, hence the village was named Shizai because it was constructed with stones. In the fourteenth year of the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1641), Huang Xingcong and his son Huang Zhijian moved to Shizai to settle down. Other surnames gradually moved out, and the Huang clan then undertook large-scale construction, building the defensive fortress village that is now relatively well-preserved in eastern Guangdong. In the thirtieth year of the Kangxi era (1691), another fortress village was built 2 kilometers to the north, called 'He'anli', and the Huang clan of Xinzai originated from Shizai, hence it was also known as Xinzai. The construction of Xinzai took 19 years. The city wall is 400 meters long and over a zhang (3.3 meters) high, filled with gun holes for defense and shooting outwards. The village gates are set to the west, south, and north according to their orientation. The main gate and the ancestral hall gate are in a straight line, facing the Daqi Mountain and Jianfeng (Wumian Ridge) in the distance. The village covers an area of 11,648 square meters, with the Huang clan ancestral hall at the center, a spacious square in front, and two 'Nine-Room Buildings' behind. On both sides of the ancestral hall are 'Eight-Room Houses', with residential buildings laterally protected, and two open spaces left between them and the 'Nine-Room Buildings', known as 'Dragon's Eyes'. The residential buildings built around the village wall embrace and protect, forming a grand architectural complex.
In November 2008, it was rated as one of the first 'Ancient Villages in Guangdong Province'. In December 2012, it was rated as a 'Traditional Chinese Village'. In May 2013, it was rated as an 'Ancient Chinese Village'; in April 2014, it was rated as a 'Chinese Historical and Cultural Famous Village'; in August 2015, it was rated as a 'Model Village for Rural Tourism in China'.
